Short Summary
Hello! I’m Eugene Ebner, a performer and producer. I have shared the stage and screen with Broadway and TV stars including Annaleigh Ashford, Beth Malone, Alice Ripley, and Diana Ross, and I have performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall. I have always been passionate about the entertainment industry, and after a successful career of promoting the wonderful talent of others, I am excited to step in front of the camera in a lead role. Equally exciting is the chance to with with my husband, Paul Page, a very talented SAG-AFTRA/AEA actor, AND my very own drag alter-ego, Anita Twirl! We are partnering with director Elgin Cahill and producer Lyle “Pookie” DeRose, industry veterans with a successful track record of wonderful Christmas movies.
What We Need & What You Get
We are seeking to raise our budget of $1.4M to produce this film. Our carefully crafted budget will ensure that Drag Me To Christmas has the production value necessary to compete with the best “traditional” Christmas movies. We will also be partnering with some of the most famous drag queens in the world, and featuring them in fun and fabulous cameos throughout the film. We are offering some awesome perks, from advance viewing opportunities, to autographed photos and screenplays, to invitations to the red carpet screening and wrap party! The Impact
From the moment we set out to bring this project to life, we have received a constant outpouring of love and support from the community, allies, friends, family, and even total strangers. Although Drag Me To Christmas will feature many of the elements of a traditional Christmas movie, with the added bonus of fabulous and amazing drag performances, at its heart it is a story about being true to your inner self, a sentiment that we are confident will resonate with people from all walks of life.
Challenges
Bringing a feature film to life is no easy task, and from the outset, we have committed to producing a film of the highest quality. With our amazing queens, actors, and experienced industry professionals, we are confident that Drag Me To Christmas will make our team and all of our supporters proud. Our goal is to release the film in June of 2025 in honor of Pride.
